I wanted to send a note to let you know that I experienced wonderful customer service at your Eagan location.  I brought my car in on Saturday, Jan. 16th after having squished my car door while backing out of my garage.  I was stressed out and worried about the cost.  Mike Steinke helped me with the quote.  Mike was very patient and even re-worked a 2nd quote for me.  He was very empathetic and professional and did not make me feel rushed - even though I know he was quite busy.  He did a good job of explaining my options.  He also explained the relationship ABRA has with my insurance company.
 
Thereafter he took the time to follow up with status phone calls to let me know the progress.  I really appreciated the time he took in both the initial quote and thereafter.
Even though it was a very stressful situation for me, Mike did such a great job and I truly appreciated such great customer service.
 
I would expect this is not an isolated event and that Mike is one of your valued employees.  I wanted to take the time to confirm his value to ABRA.  I will be certain to use your company again and will be sure to refer any family or friends your way.

This Christmas 2009 I found myself the victim of a hit and run accident involving my 2001 Toyota Camry.  Seeing the side of my car scraped, dented, and ruined left me feeling very upset and distraught. I have never been in any kind of an accident before, let alone a hit and run.  I contacted my local police and my insurance company immediately.  I was pleasantly surprised to find I was dealt with in a kind and expedient manner by both groups.  Once the initial shock had set in and I realized I would need to have my car repaired, I was greatly concerned about the service, work, and hassle I would now be facing.  The insurance rep made an appointment for me at ABRA Auto Body & Glass in Westminster, Colorado.  A rental car would be waiting for me at the shop.

Expecting the worst, I arrived at my scheduled time at the body shop and was greeted politely by my insurance rep.  He was extremely professional and courteous, and took his time examining the car and damage, taking photographs that I later would find uploaded conveniently to their website.  He thoroughly explained the process, the costs, the estimated time to repair the damage, and the policy regarding all work performed.  He then introduced me to Randy Koch from ABRA who continued to inspect the car and explain the process.

Each step of the process I felt well informed about what was happening and what to expect next.  With great ease I rented the car from Enterprise, and waited for my car to be repaired.  I would like to mention that the car rental rep was also extremely professional, courteous, and helpful. 

Right on time, as discussed, my car was ready for pick up.  The repairs were perfect and the car looked as if it had never been so heinously attacked by a rude and careless driver.  The car had been washed, cleaned, and made to look just lovely; I was very pleased to say the least. Mr. Koch walked me through all the repair work done, what they were able to do to restore the car, and how to keep certain items in mind when washing the car the next 90 days.

Thanks to the friendly, helpful, and professional manner my repair work was handled I felt a horrible event had a pleasant resolution.

Editor’s note: While completing the vehicle check-in process in the estimating bay in ABRA-Roseville, a body technician approached the customer after noticing the vehicle license plate stated “Pearl Harbor Survivor”.  The tech took a few minutes talking with this customer about his experiences 68 years ago, and thanked him for his service to our country. The customer recalled how he crawled out a portal of the ship in order to survive before the ship sunk. The technician asked for the responsibility and honor of repairing this customer’s vehicle, and stated he wanted to pay a portion of his deductible out of respect for what he had done.  Upon hearing of this very generous offer, Roseville’s GM and CSM also offered to chip-in to cover a large portion of this customer’s $750 deductible. Herman H. was very emotional when he was told what the members of the Roseville staff had done in an effort to show their gratitude, and he sent the thank you card above.

I would like to commend two of your employees for exceptional customer service. On June 17th, my 17-year-old daughter was driving my Saab – which was a 1987 college graduation present from my parents – and got in an accident. Because of previous great service, I had the car towed to ABRA. My husband talked to John Sharstrom and explained that this car meant a lot to me and that we would like to have it repaired if possible. Knowing that the car is not worth much on paper, we wanted to keep the repair costs down. John began looking for used replacement parts. The car was declared “totaled”, but we were hoping to repair it. We set up a time to meet with John and Wayne Godlewski to discuss the repairs. John and Wayne spent an hour with us patiently explaining what needed to be done and helping us make the decision on whether or not to have it repaired. They were both very sensitive to the fact that this car meant a lot to me. They were very straightforward and honest with us. My husband and I were so appreciative of the time they spent with us, the efforts John made to make the repair affordable by searching for used parts, providing detailed information on what the repairs entailed, and the sensitivity they showed knowing what this car meant to us. Overall the service we received was exemplary. I would highly recommend ABRA to anyone.

Recycled for a Cause

The Westminster Fire Department stopped by Abra Auto Body to say thank you for their support of a charitable project.
 

The Westminster Fire Department stopped by Abra Auto Body & Glass, 9100 Pierce St., to express appreciation of their support for a unique charitable project. Westminster firefighter Eric Roth had the idea of giving old fire hydrants a second life - selling them as memorabilia to raise funds for the Westminster Firefighter's Fire Victims Benefit Fund. He arranged for the City to donate the obsolete hydrants to the charitable foundation and with the help of fellow firefighters JC Engdahl and Dave Sagel, hauled them around to be sandblasted, repainted, and auctioned off. Abra Auto Body was kind enough to donate the repainting of the hydrants.

The Westminster Firefighter's Fire Victims Benefit Fund was established in 1983 with the primary goal of providing immediate financial assistance to victims of fire in our community. Of the 8 re-furbished hydrants, five have already been purchased -- raising about $800 for the charity. Several hydrants were enhanced with a water feature to be used as yard décor. The remaining hydrants are for sale; $150 for a plain hydrant, $250 for the water feature.

Dear Steve: 

I am sending you a quick note to tell you how completely satisfied I am with the service you provided on a recent visit to your store. My expectations were exceeded and I wanted to share that with you. I have a l998 Grand Prix which runs well and is in good condition. However, the headlight assembly plastic was fogged up given the years of exposure to salt, sand and everything else found on the roads. I had been considering replacing the headlights after the buffing kit I bought did not do the trick. It was getting dangerous to drive as the light was not penetrating the fogging. I even considered buying a new car when I was told by the dealership they were about $500 each to replace.

 I was skeptical that anything could be done that was a reasonable cost on a car that is now 11 years old, but you changed that impression. Here’s how my experience went. I drove in and was greeted by the receptionist. She asked me my name and shook my hand all with a nice smile. She immediately found someone to look at my headlights. When the original person she sought out was not available she asked you to help me. After I explained I didn’t want to spend $1,000 on new headlights, you brought me into your office and told me about aftermarket lights. You called a used car parts dealer and found they had some on hand for $74 each. I asked if you could replace them, and you quoted me a fair price of $40. I went to get them and quickly returned in about one-half hour, and immediately the receptionist found someone to install them. She immediately went to pull the car into the shop. My 10-year-old daughter and I went outside to peek in the shop, and a women greeted us with a warm smile and asked if we needed help. I hold her why we were there and she stated, “Just wanted to make sure you were taken care of”.  When the job was done the receptionist was ready for a quick checkout. You popped your head out of the office to ensure the lights had been aligned properly – which they had. I left feeling so good about the entire process. 

I shared this story with my wife because I was so impressed. My headlights work great and I can safely drive at night again. This experience was great, but what prompted me to write this letter was your note I received as a follow-up in the mail today. First class! Rest assured, I will use your company again and will definitely refer anyone I know who may be seeking any type of body work. You won me as a lifetime customer. Simply put…you made my day. I’m a raving fan.
