Carmen Thiede is Chief People Officer at Abra. Previously, she held senior HR roles at RBC Dain Rauscher and Ameriprise Financial. Most recently, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President of Premium Operations at Regis, where she oversaw HR functions for all field and salon support employees.


Carmen has dedicated her career to people development, and her leadership philosophy aligns with ABRA’s mission to be Employer of Choice. A hands-on leader, she often spends extended periods in the field to better understand employee and business challenges. She believes in creating a supportive work environment that rewards success and individual contributions.


Carmen serves on the board of directors for Children’s Cancer Research Fund, and is passionate about causes that support children.


Carmen holds a BA degree in Math and Economics from St. Olaf College, and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
