Zip Frequently Ask Questions
Zip is a flexible payment option that makes it easier to manage your budget while still getting the service you need. With Zip, you can split your purchase into four interest-free payments, providing an alternative to paying the full amount upfront.
Welcome back! Existing Zip customers can use the cell phone number associated with your Zip account to log into the app and use Zip in-store.
Customers may be charged finance charges, late fees, and convenience fees if applicable. For more information on finance charges, please check out Zip's Help Center.
In order to have an account with ZIP, you must:
- Live in the U.S. and have a valid U.S. mailing address
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid and verifiable mobile number
- Use a credit or debit card to make a purchase
Zip requires your legal name, address, date of birth, a U.S. mobile number, and either a U.S. debit or credit card to sign up. Zip requires a mobile phone number and text message verification to log-in, instead of a traditional username and password.
You can use Zip for purchases of $35 or more. To check your estimated Zip spending power, visit the Zip app. For more information about your spending power, please check out Zip’s Help Center.
Yes! Each customer has an estimated spending power they can use to make purchases. Your spending power is not an open line of credit. Each transaction is separately reviewed for approval. Existing orders are subtracted from your spending power to show the available spending power you have to make purchases with Zip.
